This is a fun learning tool. Try it out!
Education Budget Calculator.

Another reason a Progressive Income Tax to replace the state sales tax is a better way to go.
Tax the top 20% of real People and corporate, “Persons” Kill the sales tax.

We have so much going on. Our lovely governor and wonderful state legislature want to make a lot more cuts. Here are a few examples:
Cut over 1,000 spaces in Nursing Homes and Adult Day Care Centers. Close more RHC (Group homes for the extremely mentally retarded) Plus cuts to education. All of these will result in teachers and Health Care workers losing jobs. Cutting health care can result in deaths (and already has in at least one instance.). Cutting jobs results in less money in taxes, and less money to run government. We cannot keep doing this. Fight back, and push the Governor and Legislature to do the right thing.

We still have phones, and email. Let them know how you feel.
We need to get a decent version of a state income tax, while getting rid of the regressive sales tax. If we tax only the top 20% of incomes, not people, and applied this to both real humans and corporate, “Persons” no poor people would have to pay either.

Rep: Hasagawa has a wonderful idea to save money for the state and take power and funding away from the banksters. Read all about it here. http://wapublicbankproject.org

Our Secretary of State is pushing for a definition of party that would exclude four state parties, including this one. Call or email your representatives and state senators and urge them to use this one, approved by 6 parties in this state.

Definition of Party:
A Party name must include the word, “Party”.
A Party is a political party with a national party with either presidential and Vice-presidential candidates, or with national officers or a national Advisory Board, with branches in more than one state.
OR:
A State Party. A political party with a state Board or State officers, running candidates and/or lobbying in this state.
