You are right. We are flying off every direction doing our support of those issues. So, here’s a short rundown:
We support the following Initiative: I 1098, the state income tax for the ulta rich. Those who have the most should pay the most and not visa versa as we now have it.
We oppose I 1082, privatization of Workman’s Comp. And I 1053, an attempt to require a 2.3 majority for any tax increases. When people are going to die if certain items are cut, we need a simple majority for balancing our budget, and no longer on the backs of our poor and disabled.
We support legalizing Marijuana, and taxing it. Prohibition does not work. It also would allow not only medical marijuana, but also industrial hemp, providing jobs.

We also fully support the positon of the 3rd Party coalition that every party or Independent should be able to get on the ballot, speak at forums and debate equally with Republican and Democratic candidates. And that all candidates should have fair media access.

County wide: Clean up the Port Authority. No more sweetheart deals. The county needs to provide better bus service to areas other than Seattle, stop giving variances to our laws for their favorite developers, look at allowing permanent campsites for the homeless, and making laws that allow individuals and coops leaway to make and use alternative fuels safely on their own property.

Seattle: Use the millions of dollars now being planned for projects for special interests (Paul Allen) for social services, including money for Share, a permanent home for Tent City and Nicklesville, with showers, indoor bathrooms, and a warm room in case the temperature dips to below 15 degrees. Do not hike rates for utilities, parking and other needed services.

Schools: Teach history as it actually happened. Teach languages early, when the brain finds it easy. Teach sign language, so that deaf students are part of the whole group, and are not left out. Teach students mutual respect by respecting them. Charter Schools should not be code for privatization, but parent coops to help their children grow intellectually.
We oppose the WASL test, since it has now become something to teach to rather than a measure of where a child is, and what they need.
